Do's and Don'ts for Septic System Care
- Do have your system pumped on a regular basis
- Do repair any leaks of toilets, valves or pipes in your home.
- Do install items such as water conserving shower heads and low water use toilets.
- Don't use a garbage disposal on a regular basis.
- Don't use septic additives to your system.
- Don't over use chlorine bleach products.
- Don't plant trees on or near your leach field.
